Payment of City Taxes
Delinquent City Taxes
Failure to pay city taxes by the due date is considered delinquency. When a taxpayer defaults, we first issue a reminder letter, followed by notices and phone calls requesting payment.
If a taxpayer defaults on their city taxes, in order to maintain fairness with those who paid by the due date and to secure important financial resources, we may be forced to seize the delinquent's assets (real estate, personal property, telephone subscription rights, salary, bank deposits, etc.) and take other measures to recover the delinquency, such as publicly auctioning these assets.Tax Consultation
City taxes are voluntarily paid by the due date (deadline for delivery). However, if you are unable to pay by the due date for various reasons, tax consultations are available at the Tax Payment Division (Counter 37, 3rd floor, Higashiosaka City Hall (Main Building)) or by phone.
Consultations are available from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and the New Year's holiday period (December 29th to January 3rd), and from 9:00 AM to noon on the fourth Saturday of each month.
